Where were we? Artie’s in Mumbai meeting with the Bollywood folks, Slothrop’s in some kind of slow-motion meltdown & unraveling before our eyes, Inky’s weighing an offer from Marvel and he just got nominated for a Golden Square Award, so he’s in demand. Oh, and Hanelore’s in Munich drafting her requirements to accept the full-time role after her internship ended, based on what leverage, I don’t know. I was sick yesterday and when I came in this morning the Committee was still debating this one. Everything seems a little off today. Slothrop’s in a nasty mood bc of the caption length + he spilled coffee on his pants. He’d already dropped his phone in the urinal this morning, so the coffee spill sent him straight over the edge. Artie’s sending plenty of vampire selfies from Mumbai but still no word on the movie deal yet. But we did get a licensing offer from Stockholm for a line of Gus the Cat talking plush dolls (I guess the bit works in Swedish), which means, along with the potential Bollywood interest, Slothrop can’t outright decline this panel, even though the S-MCSS score for the franchise is below average and he just personally doesn’t like the whole concept. So it got approved, finally, & Inky colored it, but we had some requests for the b+w, so posting that also. Happy to hear preference. I think Inky’s probably going to pass on the Marvel offer. It’s a tough one but his mom’s here & she’s sick, and NY is more expensive than the salary increase would pay for. Plus he told me he’s been expensing almost all of his meals in the corporate Amex bc he inks while he eats & no one seems to care. I’m applying for my own card today. -Ed.
