Giraffe Tending Bonsai Tree

Artie was going to submit this as a panel, but decided it works better without a caption, so he’s going to turn it into a large-format canvas oil painting titled ‘Giraffe Tending Bonsai Tree’. I’m still trying to convince him there’s a panel here crying out for a backstory - something about the giraffe’s stress level being much improved by his new hobby, but his neck issues are getting worse - but Artie’s pretty firm. He’s been very image-oriented lately and less focused on captions, which I think is the result of the Committee approval process/Hanelore reductionism effect finally beginning to weigh on him. His Zen-like response to the assault on his creative process has been admirable, but I guess it has its limits. Still, if you have any thoughts on backstory, pls feel free to share them. -Ed.
