“I Don’t Like Your Tone, Marvin”
So I got back from Cabo last night and saw what happened with this account last week. I deleted all the garbage as soon as I realized it. Sincere apologies to everyone who was offended and I think I’ve responded to everyone who DM’d. Needless to say, the account was hacked and that wasn’t me. Safety tip: don’t make your password “password”. I’ve changed all the social media accounts and promise it won’t happen again. Aside from being hugely embarrassing (but again that wasn’t me, even though it looked like Cabo in the background), we lost about 15K followers and I have an email invite from HR to an 8am meeting on Monday. So...this may be my last post. In which case, I thought it might be appropriate to go back to Inscrutables No. 1, which Artie scratched out right there in his interview with Marv before he was hired. You’d think his resume would’ve been enough, since he inked for R Crumb and teaches a class at UW called “Archetypical Patterns in Single Panel Comics 1914-1946”. But this one made Marv giggle, and they bonded over their simultaneous divorce procedures, so he hired him on the spot. I keep it on a Post It on my monitor bc it reminds me of the early days when this place felt like a start up, when all it took was a giggle from Marv to approve a panel, before his heart attack, before the Committee meetings and S-MCSS focus groups and whatnot. I was going to save it for a #tbt, but I’m not sure Thurs is in the cards at this point. Since I’m feeling nostalgic, and there’s still some room on the Corp acct, I think I’ll go out w a sponsored post. Anyway, Cabo was fun. Maybe too much fun. I guess I’ll find out Monday. And again, very sorry about last week. -Ed.
